Spring has sprung! Hooray!

Day Fifty Six

Bryson got his first official Ferrari ride. He was certainly in all his glory... so was my dad! I think he's addicted and won't stop asking for 'Rarri'!!

Day Fifty Five

We had a lovely trip downtown to visit some friends for brunch. All in all it was a good trip and Bryson actually held it together for most of the time! We even got in a little shopping.

After baths and swim class, we wrap Bryson up like a little burrito. Now he brings me his blanket in the morning and tells me he's 'brrrr' and tries to wrap it around him himself. He walked around like this for twenty minutes!

Another swim class after a very busy day of working!! Hopefully I'll get some pictures of him actually in the water one of these days! Here he is showing off his new swim jacket!

Day Fifty One

Today is my first day at my new job... working for my dad as a salesman. It's weird to have to get up early and dress nice again.... but good to be back in the 'real world'!

I've had so many friends ask me to do their invitations, announcements and such that I decided to try to be a little more 'official' and I now have my own bags to make my deliveries in!! Fun!

Day Forty Seven

Potty training is well on it's way... B earns stamps for doing his business on the potty! Today was a two stamp day!! Hooray!!

Day Forty Six

Yes my child is wearing the same clothes as yesterday, don't judge! It happens, I do wash! I love how sweet he looks when he's sleeping... unfortunetly I can usually only catch it in the car! I promise I was driving safely! :)

Day Forty Five

I was finally feeling better so Bryson and I took advantage of the beautiful day and headed to the zoo with some friends and neighbors. Bryson had it made, snacks, shades and a sweet ride. He's finally starting to enjoy the zoo, I can't wait to bring him more often as the weather continues to get nice!

Day Forty Four

With the way he's acting, you'd think he had the flu, no wait that's me, yet I'm the one up and he's the one sleeping.... I think somethings wrong with this picture!!

Day Forty Two

Bryson and I got to take care of Aubrey again today! Bryce sure does love 'Au-bee'. He's trying to give her a hug so she'll stop crying!! :) I think he's ready for a sibling! Now if only his mommy was too!

Day Forty One

I did it! It took 3 hours but I stayed up and updated the blog. Proud of myself and pretty sure I learned a less, don't put updating the blog aside for 2 weeks! Next mission, updating Bryson's blog and commenting on all my girls' blogs! (There's a picture to go with this but it refuses to upload.... hopefully it'll get in tomorrow.)

Day Forty

My house is a mess. This is a picture of the layer of dust coating everything. My house is soooo messy that my husband actually agreed to let me call the cleaning lady. It's really that bad!

Day Thirty Nine

That's right.... two strikes! And I'm the one that bowled them! I'd like to say that all that Wii bowling has payed off but the score that happened after this were.... well zeros! And this actually took place on Friday, but we were out so late that it was technically Saturday!

Day Thirty Eight

This is my littlest brother Jordan. I promise he's not as big of a punk as he looks! He's just not a morning person, even after a plate of bacon, a Hot Wheels car balloon and his nephew covering his face in whip cream! Today is his 20th birthday. I can't believe he's that old, 'cuz that makes me.... well, older! Happy Birthday 'Robert'!

Day Thiry Seven

Marlene and I took the kiddos to the DuPage Children's Museum. They really had a good time. Bryce loved the wind tunnel and Maya was a big fan of the water tables! We were able to snap a quick photo of the two of them in the huge chari. They really do love each other, I swear!. We capped off the day with a trip to Noodles!

Day Thirty Six

My little guy loves his cottage cheese! Nate was brave and let Bryce eat it by himself while he was sitting on his lap. Neatless to say they were both covered in cottage cheese when all was said and done!

Day Thirty Five

I had to bring Bryson to the eye doctor today for the first time. He complains, often, that 'eyes-eyes, owwwie', so I thought it would be a good idea to get him checked out. Turns out he has some pretty severe eye allergies, the source however is still unknown to us! Now we have to use saline to rinse out his eyes.... he hates it but mimics us when we're done doing it.

Day Thirty Four

Mmmmm, cookies! I worked out with my friend Marlene and it was a killer workout! I decided I earned some cookies! Yummo!

Day Thirty Three

This is how I find Bryson each night when I check on him before I go to bed. Curled up with his face in the corner of the crib. Makes me nervous to put him in a big boy bed! He might fall out as he travels to his little corner!

Day Thirty Two

Bryson's latest obsession is my hairspray. He asks for 'shhhhh' (with his finger twirling over his head) everytime I try to get ready. Tonight I gave him a faux-hawk. He laughed when he saw himself in the mirror!

Day Thirty One

My mom brought me flowers.... isn't that nice!! She said she always brings Bryce presents, this time it was my turn. Lord knows I don't get them from anyone else!

My goofy little man. He does this when I'm working on the computer and he wants attention. With a smile like that, how can I resist!

Day Twenty Nine

It was very, very quite on Tuesday morning... I heard the pantry door open and Bryson came and showed me the bag of chips that he apparently wanted. I told him no but apparently he had other ideas... I peeked around the courner and there he was mowing down on my cereal.

Day Twenty Eight

I did it. I cut off my baby's curls. He looked like such a bum and I know that his stranger anxiety would prevent us from going to a salon. So I said I wouldn't do it and I did.... one side looks great, the other..... not so much. Oh well, we live, we learn!

Day Twenty Seven

I love this little boy! He is just as nuts as his mother, if not more! This is his latest, he's obsessed with the fuzz in his toes... so much so that he couldn't use the potty because he was too busy getting fuzz-free! I was laughing so hard I almost couldn't take the picture!

Day Twenty Six

Ummm, Valentine's day was fun! Marlene and Tony came over to have dinner. Five bottles of wine later.... Marlene showed us her mad yoga skills, Tony was as happy as a clam, Nate passed out on the couch and I was... well I was just goofy! Good friends, good wine, good times!

Day Twenty-Five

I am going to a sleepover! At the age of twenty-eight! One of my closest friends is turning 50 and her daughter decided to throw her a surprise birthday sleepover... It's sure to be a good time!

Day Twenty Four

Please pardon the really crummy picture! Boy do I need a new camera! Anyways, today I voluntarily attended a meeting at my school to find out some additional information about the districts plan for next year. The meeting started at 3:45 and ended after 6:00. In that time, I learned that next year, despite the 'world of technology' that we live in, our district will no longer offer technology class to it's students. And, I will be loosing 20 minutes of prep time a day so that I can monitor my students as they take an 'excercise walk' around the building. Apparently learning will be taking a back seat next year!

Day Twenty Three

I was so happy to find this book for Bryson for Valentines Day. One of my favorite books to read him is 'I Love You Through and Through.' This book has the same author and illustrator, I'm sure we will love it just as much!

Day Twenty Two

I don't know what to say about this. Bryson always brightens my day and makes me laugh!! I'm so happy that he is in my life!

Day Twenty One

Today was gymnastics. The highlight of Bryson's time there is usually getting a stamp at the end of the day. Today he was VERY observant and noticed that the 'big kids' (he's the youngest by about a year) were getting stamps on their feet. So my little bum sat himself down, took off both socks and stuck out his feet.... so we came home with not 2, but 4 stamps. Thankfully I convinced him that mommy didn't need stamps on her feet!

Day Twenty

We've been working on the potty training and Bryson impressed Nate and I by going right away when we came home from dinner with my parents. He also surprised us when he then proceeded to pee ALL over the bathroom, three times, and then again on the potty!! I didn't think a person that little could hold THAT much in their bladder!!! I'm going to have to post a picture of his 'celebration' dance. It's pretty funny!

Day Nineteen

It was so warm today!!! I dug through the basement and dragged up Bryce's tricycle. We had a good time riding around the neighborhood!

Day Eighteen

This beautiful little girl is my god-daughter Maya! She's also Bryson's 'girlfriend'. He calls her Ya-ya... and Maya's mom Marlene he refers to as Auntie 'Mar-Mar'. Marlene, Tony and Maya came over for Friday night pizza... it's fast becoming a tradition that our friends and neighbors come over for Friday pizza, beer and Wii.

Day Seventeen

After one of the craziest days teaching (that I have ever had in my 5 years experience) my mom called to let me know that Bryce wouldn't be coming home form her house in his clothes because he'd wet through. She said I'd be amused at what he had on, sure enough, I was! This apparently belonged to one of my brothers... oh my goodness! It's not a great picture (I really need a new camera), but you get the idea!

Day Sixteen

I sucked it up and scheduled my trainer for 8:00 A.M., yes that right folks, I voluntarily signed up to be awake AND working out that early.... I must be serious! Turns out he didn't get the memo and slept in... so I had a different trainer. He was great and we got a lot accomplished... most of which involved me not being able to walk out of the club!! I love legs days!

Day Fifteen

I cleared my schedule! I booked a babysitter! And I waited for the phone to ring... and I waited, and waited, and waited. Alas, no subs were needed this morning!

Day Fourteen

We attempted to get Bryson's 18 month pictures taken today. God bless Joyce and Andy at the Picture People! 'Cuz I didn't even want to put up with my child! Thankfully a few of the shots turned out! Afterwards, B got a sucker... certainly not because he was good, but just 'cuz I love him so much!

Day Thirteen

Snail or wienie in a blanket, you decide (the blur was unavoidable). This tasty morsel was a part of our small Super Bowl gathering. We enjoyed watching the game, despite our crabby child that went to bed at 8:00!

Day Twelve

This is a pork butt. I think it is ridiculously disgusting. I am making pulled-pork tacos for the Super Bowl tomorrow. I have every intention of making this.... pork butt... my last red meat meal. I don't like to touch it, i don't like to cook it, and really unless it's a supurbly done filet minogne from a fancy Steakhouse, I don't like to taste it either. Taking all this into consideration I have decided to try to go red meat free! Eventaully I will probably be a vegetarian, but until I can get myself eating healthier as a whole, I feel that I need to have chicken and ground turkey available for protien! Just thought I'd share!

Day Eleven

Today I got to take care of my friends little girl Aubrey! She's a little over 3 months old and such a sweetheart. Bryson was immediately enamored with 'Auubee' and was a really big helper all day! He especially liked feeding her babbles (bottles). Part of me secretly hoped it would have been hard to take care of the two of them.... it wasn't! :)

Part of today included a very important decesion... I signed up for personal training... and got my butt KICKED!! I have sore muscles in places I didn't even know I had muscles! But I cannot tell you how 'empowered' I feel committing to work out a minimum of two days a week with a trainer, a pilates class, a yoga class and optional boot camp on Saturdays!

Day Ten

Hooray for planning ahead and thank goodness for crock-pots. This became dinner in five minutes. Got to love it!

Day Nine

With both of us being sick, Bryson has not been in the best of moods lately, especially when I'm taking his picture. When I went in to get him from nap today, he had TWO paci's in his mouth. I asked him if he was having a rough day.... this was his response.
